The lounge has two armchairs and a contemporary two-seater sofa with large matching footstool, ideal for relaxing after a days walking or sightseeing. There is a 32" HD Smart television. On your arrival we provide a basket of logs, firelighters, kindling and matches for the incredibly efficient woodburner. There is a collection of guides to local places of interest such as museums, galleries and days out in North Yorkshire, County Durham and Teesdale as well as a range of menus for local pubs and restaurants. The kitchen has everything you need to make a delicious meal or simply to warm up a quick snack in the combination microwave. The new Rayburn acts as the boiler for the radiators and the hot water, is a fantastic oven and keeps the kitchen toasty and warm in winter. The room is airy and bright and has a rural outlook over the garden to a field beyond where cattle graze and hens and pheasants wander. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge freezer, dishwasher, toaster, iron and ironing board. There is a washing machine, tumble drier and toilet in the separate utility room. A complimentary bottle of wine is waiting on your arrival, as well as a pint of milk in the fridge and tea and coffee on a tea tray.
Merok Cottage has two bedrooms. The main bedroom has a double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside tables. We provide bedding, spare blankets and pillows and fresh towels. There is a HD television and a hairdryer.
The second bedroom has a full size bunk bed, chest of drawers and hanging hooks. There is a plug-in nightlight and a lovely view over the garden and fields behind.
There is a travel cot for babies and toddlers we just ask that you bring your own bed linen. There is a stairgate to ensure that wandering toddlers can be safe and that pets do not go upstairs.
The bathroom has a washbasin with cupboard under, shaver socket, bath, heated towel rail and toilet. The bath has a hand held shower attachment.
